How is everyone's Christmas?
I got to teach Samrouy last Thursday in Thai and it was awesome! She had a lot of questions that she wanted to ask but because of her English, she couldn't express what she wanted to say very well. I don't know how to phrase this but I think the spirit is able to work better when we speak or hear in our native tongue.
On Christmas eve, we had zone activity. Kirkland zone is super small so we only have 7 companions. 4 of us are in English speaking and the other 3 are in Spanish speaking. Everyone brought food to eat at the activity and it was great! We thought the food would be just meat and rice since Elder Enos, our zone leader, told us to bring just meat and rice.. haha. We then played jeopardy and white elephant. The ended with the nativity and testimony meeting.
On Christmas day, I got to skype with my family at bishop's house and we had dinner at our member's house. It was super great. The coolest part of Christmas (?) was we had a meeting at the beach... well, I will give you more detail about this story. So when we got back from our member dinner, our zone leaders wanted to have a meeting about 2 transfers mind set stuff. However, we couldn't get into the church building because none of our card worked. all the fast food places were closed. We ended up had a meeting on the bench at the beach. 8 of us were shaking while we had a meeting haha. Luckily, We brought blankets with us so it wasn't too bad. Anyway, it was a really good meeting. I will never forget this experience haha.
